CME Advisory Committee
The Division of CME utilizes the expertise of a CME Advisory Committee whose main responsibility is to oversee and approve the policies and procedures of the Division. The Committee often is involved in initiating projects as well as strategies that help CME to develop, conduct, and evaluate innovative programs designed to improve the ability of the state and medical community to deliver the highest quality of care and patient safety.

Summary of CME Activities
The Division of Continuing Medical Education (CME) at Indiana University School of Medicine provides a comprehensive program for the lifelong learning needs of physicians. Nationally recognized for excellence, the IU School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Linking clinical expertise, state-of-the-art educational planning, and comprehensive events management, the Division of CME:- matches clinical needs with appropriate learning activities and delivery formats;
- explores innovative solutions to the educational challenges related to health care reform, expanding biomedical information and technologies, and informatics and quality management principles;
- ensures quality in the educational process by applying adult learning principles, evidence-based medicine, and a focus on improved patient outcomes; and
- builds alliances for collaborative research, education and clinical practice improvement.
