Review and Interpretation of the 33rd Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium
The 33rd Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, "an international scientific symposium for interaction and exchange among basic scientists and clinicians in breast cancer," was held on December 8-12, 2010. You can learn more about this conference at www.sabcs.org.
On Saturday, January 29, 2011, IUSM CME hosted the 2010 Review and Interpretation of the 2010 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. This course was designed for medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and general surgeons as a review of recent advances in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment as presented at the 2010 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. Experts in the field of breast cancer shared their expertise with course participants. Further, they interpreted and presented information made available at the San Antonio conference. The content below represents the recorded lectures from the January 29, 2011 event. In addition to a presentation of the data, the speakers offered their viewpoints and interpretations of the significance of individual presentations. Ample opportunity was available for questions and discussion.
This activity provides an alternative to those practicing clinicians are unable to attend the Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer. The purpose of this course is to deliver clinically useful tools in a format that is succinct and engaging on the recognition, diagnosis, and individualized care of patients with breast cancer.
