Debbie Wieckert brings to the CME team sixteen years’ experience with the IU School of Medicine Division of Continuing Medical Education in the role previously known as a meeting coordinator. She utilizes leadership and people skills she acquired during prior retail management and volunteer trainer experiences. As an Activity Coordinator, Debbie enjoys working closely with the faculty, staff, and other stakeholders of CME courses, regularly scheduled series (RSS), and enduring materials educational activities, to ensure that they are satisfied with the process and outcome of their projects as well as in compliance with the Standards set forth by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
Outside of work, Debbie enjoys teaching four-year-olds at her church and volunteering at Adams Elementary School in Franklin Township. Throughout her life she has always had pets of some sort …dogs…cats…bunnies…birds…fish…hamsters…even chickens! She currently has two dogs and a cat. Her family lovingly refers to her as Mrs. Doolittle.
Her husband Terry is an architectural photographer. They have a blended family of four daughters, one son, three sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, three grandsons, and two granddaughters.
